There were a few issues with the configuration of Tabserve but it has now since been resolved. The newest Live related tab has launched, this time for Office Live, bringing the total number of Live tabs for Windows Live Messenger to 5. It joins Expo, Favorites, Messenger and the original Alerts tabs.
I’m not a user of Office Live, so I’m not sure what the tab does exactly for those who do use it. You can give the tab a try out by directly opening it in your browser. The tab should already be in your tab list if your account settings include United States as your country. You can also add the tab to your custom list of tabs if you are using TabServe, just login and run the importer, choose United States and add it.

The Windows Live Expo team this week rolled out some new features to the free online marketplace service, including a new a Messenger tab.
The tab allows you to quickly search for items and view the results; going to an item in the results will open a new browser Window. There is also a quick link to post a new listing.

A big thank you to Rolando and the guys behind Mess Patch - TabServe is now compatible with Windows Live Messenger!
Mess Patch Generation 5 has just been released and now integrates patching capabilities for TabServe. The official patch for TabServe only works with MSN Messenger and I have never got around to updating it, so I was very pleased when Rolando proposed the integration. I hope to make a few final adjustments to the TabServe service for further Windows Live Messenger support before the end of the year.
Mess Patch is from now on the official patch for TabServe on Windows Live Messenger, the MSN Messenger patch will remain for legacy purposes.
Head over to Mess with Messenger and download Mess Patch Generation 5 for your version. The TabServe part is the fourth section in the patch, so if you are not interested in the other patch options you can simply just skip past them.
I’ve just updated the config data for TabServe to the latest beta config, this will enable Dynamic Display Pictures among other things, the standard, news and image searches will use Google instead of MSN, the text ad at the bottom of IM windows has been removed, and the Search button below the Send button has been removed. All of these options will be customisable per user in the next version of TabServe, and the config updating will be more automated.
