Forum Reshuffle

Site Updates

As you may have noticed Daniel is on a holiday for a few months so in his place we’ve done some slight reshuffles relating to the forums. Merged the MSN and Windows Live Messenger into one, split Non-Messenger code from the Messenger related code, removed IMTiger due to inactivity and turned the Triople forum to read-only as theres no point allowing postings in there as we know the limits and restrictions of the service. Theres a prospect of a forum skin finally being up so keep your fingers crossed. Of course we hope to post a little more then we have of late so come to the forums, post and have a bit of fun!

Sign up for the new eBuddy Web Messenger beta

eBuddy has opened up registration for people wanting to test upcoming versions of eBuddy Web and eBuddy Mobile. The first group of testers for the “Early Bird” beta will be strictly limited, so if you are interested, get in now!

The popular Web Messenger has been rewritten from the group up to improve ease of use and performance (the current version often gives me browser lag).

From what I’ve read, one of the obvious changes will be that you can login to WLM, Yahoo! and AIM all at the same time from within one application (which most other multi-network Web messengers already support), as opposed to the current setup which uses separate browser windows for each IM network.

eMessenger becomes eBuddy

eBuddyThe multi-network Web based Messenger service eMessenger recently changed its name to eBuddy shortly after a visual overhaul sometime during May.

eBuddy currently supports the instant messaging networks MSN, Yahoo and AIM using Javeline in a fast AJAX Web based environment requiring no additional software installed other than a modern browser. eBuddy also offers a mobile version that runs on devices which support xHTML or WAP 2.0.

Currently there is a new MSN version running on the site, allowing you to choose the classic or new one. The new version is quite impressive, resembling the theme on MSN Messenger 7.5, but also adding its own touch. It features display pictures, content tabs & tabbed environment and even nudges.

See for yourself and give it a try.
