When I video chat with my bf, the vid tends to freeze shortly after. The connection is still active but the video no longer works. However, there are other times when he gets kicked off completely and has to sign back in to restart the call.
We’re not sure if it’s MSN or his internet connection. What should we do?

I have the newest msn messenger, when i log on it comes up with something like windws live communication platform has stopped working and forces me to close msn down, im really annoyed cause i have uninstalled it and installed it again but it hasn’t change. What do i do?

ok, i have a compaq laptop with windows vista. i have never used vista before there for i had no idea how much it sucks. how ever my problem is, when using the newest windows live messenger i have no issues at all untill i try using my webcam which is a philips spc1000nc. according to my computer everything is running correctly with the webcam however accourding to windows live, i either dont have a webcam or it takes me several attempts to make it work and then its very laggy and glitchy, also the sound is always breaking up when on a video call. the messenger works great no problems untill i try to do the video call. iv tried uninstalling both cam and messenger iv also tried changing all the settings iv done everything suggested above and suggested by the website but nothing seems to be working. if some one could please please help i would be very happy!

go to windows task manager and “processes tab”
close eData security loader

Hey everyone (;
I downloaded the new version 2009 windows live messenger, and ever since i have been using it, the audio and video setup wont work. But i need it to use my webcam, the webcam program is installed on my computer and is plugged in the USB cable and the icon is showing up in conversation windows but its not working, when i click on the webcam icon in the conversation it says; We couldn’t start your camera device. Please check that your camera is not currently in use by another program, and then try again.Eveything should be working but it will not let me into the audio and video setup which i need too get into for my webcam to work… Can anyone give me any suggestions on what to do please?? I have been searching for help for dayssss. Thanks

hey folks, ever since i was forced to down load the 8.1 i have been unable to use mt cam or my mic. It tells me my sound card is not detected and my cam may be in use in another program. arrrrrrgggg!!!! can anyone assit me. yes i have vista. btw, the dell people can not figure it out either. Thanx.

Ummm… I’ve got vista~ and I had msn before and it was fine but I got the latest ver. of windows live messenger and it’s broke. I can log in and everything works but a message always comes up saying ‘Windows Live Communications Platform has stopped working’ and I cant get my old msn back now either hellppp if you can, pretty please TTOTT
