A big thank you to Rolando and the guys behind Mess Patch - TabServe is now compatible with Windows Live Messenger!
Mess Patch Generation 5 has just been released and now integrates patching capabilities for TabServe. The official patch for TabServe only works with MSN Messenger and I have never got around to updating it, so I was very pleased when Rolando proposed the integration. I hope to make a few final adjustments to the TabServe service for further Windows Live Messenger support before the end of the year.
Mess Patch is from now on the official patch for TabServe on Windows Live Messenger, the MSN Messenger patch will remain for legacy purposes.
Head over to Mess with Messenger and download Mess Patch Generation 5 for your version. The TabServe part is the fourth section in the patch, so if you are not interested in the other patch options you can simply just skip past them.
No tabs are displaying and buttons on my dashboard are missing. Would love to get this working though.
Looking at the account with the email you used in your comment, it appears the importer didn’t work correctly. Go to http://tabserve.fanatic.net.nz/import.html and try doing it again.
You should be able to see if it’s fixed by there being data in the fields on the settings page, which at the moment all are probably empty.
I’ve also just fixed a bug which would result in the same result if the specific problem popped up.
Thanks Daniel, that did the trick. I thought it was to do with importing but coulden’t find the import page in the settings.
i couldnt get this to work on my existing tabserve account so i had to create a new one to make it work, i havent ever had tabserve ever successfully work with messenger ever before so its great to finally have that functionality in place. thanks guys this mess patch version of tabserve is awesome.
Hi, all, can someone explain to me, why all the page i’ve founded about mess pacth generation 5 are not available? I only founded the generation 4, and there isn’t the tabseve in… Daniel can you send me that patch by mail?

Hi, I have been trying to set up my tabs with the new MessPatch, I put in the email address I registered with and it does not load my tabs. Instead it leaves an error button which says “Thank you for using TabServe, but your account was not found to be registered.” I have redone my import settings 2 times and it still isn’t working. Help please, Thanx
I am getting the same results as Valamer. I apply the patch and everything seems to work except for the tabserve function. I get a tabe with an error icon which tells me:
“Thank you for using TabServe, but your account was not found to be registered.
We were unable to find your account in the TabServe database, the most common reason for this is you didn’t register an account at the TabServe Web site.
The account you register at TabServe must be the same one you entered into the TabServe Patch.
Go to http://tabserve.fanatic.net.nz/, read the instructions and try registering again.”
I have tried again and verified my tabserve account with no luck. I have tried removing and reinstalling messenger and repatching with no luck.
How does it work? I downloaded it for MSN, trying to make it be able to give me unlimited nudges, but it doesn’t work, the site I downloaded it from, http://www.mess.be shows you how the old one worked, but not this new one, please help me. My email is AriFishey@hotmail.com
