This month MSN has released a new MSN Messenger game for United States users – Quarto. MSN Messenger PM Nicole describes it as “a combination of one of my childhood favs – connect 4 and a game I recently discovered Set – where you match cards with common properties”.
There is also a Quarto board game. The style of the Messenger game is modelled after it so everything looks brown & beige which represents the wood pieces. One thing that makes the this and 7-hand poker so much fun is if you look closely you can see what your opponent is thinking of doing, which makes it feel like you are in the same room – no bluffing allowed!

After yesterdays attempt to create and spread a new worm that uses MSN Messenger as the delivery point, the site spreading it was removed and domain is now just displaying a bunch of ads. So, for those who still haven’t removed it, here is a way which TheSteve has kindly written:
The executable file extracts 3 files in to windows\system32\(random dir):
csrss.exe
smss.exe
csrss.ini
All of which have system and hidden attributes set. Task Manager will not kill either exe, so get a copy of Process Explorer at sysinternals.com. Make sure not to kill the actual system processes!
It’s great to see it was able to be removed in a timely manner and is now no longer a threat.

After 2 weeks of beta testing MAD v1.3, it has been released.
Go to MSN Agent Detector in English, in Spanish.
What’s new:
- (new) Move – Block or Copy selected contacts to another group or a new group “Who Deleted Me”.
- (new) Language added: Spanish
- (update) MAD is now faster.
- (update) The GUI was improved.
- (update) Select all button for selecting the whole list!
- (update) Cool progress bar when signing in!
- (fix) Sign out from MAD when you sign in from a different client.
- (fix) MAD is runnable now with JAVA VM 1.4.2 and 1.5 … (v1.5 Recommended)
