Today I logged into MSN Messenger (7.0.0813), and was greeted with a small tooltip in my contact list that said: “Now you can add contacts using just a mobile number! To do this, click the Contacts menu, and then click Add a Contact.” Upon clicking, the tooltip will take you to the “Add a Contact” screen, which now includes an extra option.
Now you can add a Contact to your MSN Messenger list by just entering their mobile number into the Add a Contact window.
Note: This option seems to be available only to passports set to the US region.
